Lannes' Corps is struggling to break through Grawert's Prussian Division which is stubbornly holding the villages of Alt Gonna, Krippendorf and Vierzeheiligen; so Napoleon commits the Guard to break the deadlock. The attack is a success and the Prussians in the villages are cut off as the French push through.
