With Augereau's Corps pinned in the wood Ney's Column comes storming up the Jena-Isserstadt Road and quickly ejects the Saxons from Issersatdt. |

Ney, however, has a problem, as he pours through Isserstadt he is faced with a solid Saxon Defence and far more Artillery than he can handle. If his Infantry column leaves the cover of the town they will be decimated. He does have Light cavalry in support but that is effectively countered by Zeschwitz's Saxon Cavalry Brigade waiting on the hill behind. The French assault on this flank has now ground to a halt and stalemate ensues. |
