The Remains of Holtzendorf's detachment retires as the French pause for breath and recover their disorganisation, four of St Hilaire's French Bns were routed whilst attacking Holtzendorf. The detachment retires with 1500 of the 5500 it started with but they have held off and delayed a Corps of 27,000 men for 4 hours. In the Background the Prussian 3rd defensive line is forming on Tauentzien's reformed Detachment as Lannes Corp pressure on Grawert's Division forces him to fallback. It a slow grind for the French and the delaying tactics of the Prussians are working.
